Governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have distanced themselves from the ongoing gang-up against President Bola Tinubu’s reelection.
Recall that political leaders from various parties aggrieved with the incumbent meeting with formation of alliance and coalition under one umbrella in order to defeat Tinubu said to be in view.
The main opposition governors on Sunday and Monday met in Ibadan where they resolved that the PDP would not be party to the coalition.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed announced this stance from a communique he read to journalists at the occasion.
Rather than joining the coalition, Governor Mohammed said the PDP was open to welcoming anyone or parties that want to join the party.
