President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, departed Abuja for New York, to join other world leaders at the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 72).

But before leaving, Buhari met with the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, his(Tambuwal’s) Borno State counterpart, Kashim Shettima, and that of Kano State, Umar Ganduje.

Tambuwal’s media aide, Imam Dalhatu Imam, broke the news of the meeting accompanied by a group picture of the four men in a tweet via his twitter handle, @imamdimam.
“Before his departure for New York, President @MBuhari met with Govs @AWTambuwal, @kashimshettima and @GovUmarGanduje at the State House,” Imam tweeted.
Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina, had via a statement announced the President’s trip to the US saying that his principal will be participation in the General Debate at UNGA 72, and will also have a lunch meeting with President Donald Trump.
