Actress, Yewande Adekoya, is reportedly detained in United States for credit card and bank transfer fraud.

The Yoruba actress, who is more popular with her role in the movie, Kudi Klepto, left Nigeria for the US in October for the Oodua Image Awards in Houston Texas, and stayed back to shoot a film.
However, along the line, the stay of the 34-year-old actress, who is married to actor and movie producer, Abiodun Thomas, turned awry following her alleged perpetration of credit card and bank transfer scam, online publication, Kemiashefonlovehaven, said.
It said 34-year-old Yewande was being investigated for the alleged fraud and was under house arrest with his passport seized ostensibly to prevent her from sneaking out of the country.
Quoting an anonymous source, the report said, “Her account was used to make some fraudulent transfers in the United States and she was arrested for questioning. This is no new practice among some Nigerian actors and their foreign fraudulent promoters who use them for such crimes and they get huge cuts from such deals.”
