After two years, bandits have released four of the eleven remaining students of the Federal Government Girls’ College Yauri, Kebbi state in their captivity.
Remember that on June 17, 2021 dozens of students and five teachers were kidnapped from the federal government-owned mixed boarding school.
By the following year no fewer than 13 of the female students were married off to bandits under the leadership of Dogo Gide, with some of them already pregnant.
It also happened that upon ransom payment many of the victims were released leaving behind eleven, four of whom have now been released with two babies.
By the account of PRNIGERIA, two of the freed students have the babies for the bandits and their release generally followed payment of ransom.
The latter, according to the publication was raised by parents of the victims who solicited for it publicly after Kebbi State government’s insistence on not to have anything to do with the ransom from day one.
