First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari was allegedly a beneficiary of the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris’ alleged abuse of office.

Quoting from a document submitted before an Abuja High Court by Senator Isah Misau, a report claimed Mrs. Buhari was gifted two Jeeps by the IGP.
The senator, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) had accused Idris of receiving N10bn monthly from corporate bodies, oil firms, high placed citizens as payment for special security services rendered by the police.
He also alleged that the IGP breached the law of service by impregnating a female police officer, and marrying her secretly in Kaduna State.
The federal government last Thursday arraigned Misau before an Abuja High Court on a five count charge, accusing him of making injurious falsehood against the IGP, Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Service Commission (PSC).
In the document containing Misau’s defence in the court, the senator alleged that the IGP gifted two Jeeps to the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, according to a report by New Telegraph.
The report said the vehicles, Toyota Sienna Space bus and Toyota Hiace Bus, were given to the President’s wife on January 18, 2017 by Idris at the request of one SP Sani M. Baba-Inna, ADC to Mrs. Buhari, who formally wrote to the IGP.
It said a police source confirmed the donation but saw nothing wrong with it.
The source reportedly explained that the vehicles were not donated to the first lady but police officers attached to her.
