The first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, for like two months was seen nowhere near the Aso Rock Villa fuelling rumour she decided to stay away allegedly on account of her displeasure with the cabal said to be manipulating her spouse.

Mrs Buhari prior to President Muhammad Buhari’s re-election in an interview she granted BBC upbraided his administration, accusing it of under-performance and saying he was being teleguided by cabal.

For about two months, the first lady has been out of the country triggering speculation it was deliberate in order to avoid confrontation with the cabal.

However, in an interview her media aide, Mr. Suleiman Haruna, granted Punchng.com, he dismissed the rumour.

Haruna told the paper: “It’s a free world and people have been speculating about everything in this country and it is allowed.

“She is a free Nigerian and does not work for the government. So, if she decides to stay somewhere in her village for two months or to go somewhere and stay for two months, why should it become a national issue?”
