Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu has died at the age of 67.
Akeredolu had long been battling leukemia and prostate cancer on account of which he had been in and out of hospital throwing the state into crisis wrought by leadership and succession battles.
The situation led to him transmitting power to his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, after much ado.
The legal luminary succumbed to the diseases at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment.
