Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, said the report that snakes invaded the Assembly and disrupted a plenary was a lie from the pit of hell aimed at blackmailing him.

The report swirled around the media last week that snakes invaded the assembly leading to lawmakers who were having a plenary session to flee for safety and adjourn sittings indefinitely.
Akeredolu at the weekend visited the Assembly where he rubbished the report of the reptile animals’ invasion saying it was cooked up to rubbish him.
He said, “This is an attempt to ridicule and blackmail the government in the state and I think we won’t take it. That’s what I have come to confirm because I want to know the fact.
“The principal officers of the house had confirmed to me that neither a snake nor the roof fell on the Speaker during plenary.”
