Nollywood actress and actors supporting the All Progressive Congress and in the party’s campaign trail, have raised an alarm that their lives are being threatened by some politicians in Lagos State.

An actress Remi Oshodi better known as Remi Surutu said the threat is in connection with their open supports for All Progressive Congress in the run up to the general election.

She said, “I received phone calls from some members of the PDP who threatened to deal with me if I continue to campaign for APC.”yaba rally3

The APC’s campaign trail was in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area, Yaba on Thursday where the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode promised to complete the ongoing projects embarked upon by the incumbent, Gov. Fashola and initiate new ones.

Amobe dismissed the rumour making the rounds that if he is elected, his administration will drive out residents of Iwaya and Makoko areas.

He said, “There is no plan to demolish houses in Iwaya and Makoko areas of the Mainland Local government areas of Lagos State.”

Rather he said, his administration would initiate developmental
projects and make life comfortable for the inhabitants.

“We will construct a canal that will ease the problem of incessant flooding in the area”, Amode promised.

A chieftain of the party, Tayo Oyemade who also addressed the mammoth crowd at the rally, said that South-west states have a duty to perform by ensuring that APC succeed at the poll, adding that a vote for its presidential candidate and running mate, General Muhammed Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is a vote for Sarduna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmed Bello and Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Another chieftain, Chief Lanre Rasak said that the party embarked on door-to-door campaign so as to ensure that it wins the election, adding that anyone who is able to get the party 90 percent votes in his or her ward would be adequately rewarded.
