A member of the House of Representatives, representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu ordered the suspension of the commencement of the All Progressives Congress’ electronic registration exercise in the State.
Doguwa disclosed this via a 27-second video widely circulated on social media on Saturday.
In it, the lawmaker declared that at the command of the President APC national leadership directed the Kano chapter of the party to suspend the registration, saying, “The leadership of the APC at the national level, acting on the directive of President Bola Tinubu, has ordered that the commencement of the APC e-registration in Kano be stopped.”
According to him, the decision to suspend the exercise was in connection with plan by the Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to defect from the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, to the ruling APC.
“What will you do if Tinubu says he has accepted Abba? Well, today he accepted him.
“The plan was to start collecting the APC e-registration register tomorrow, but the President and the national leadership of the APC said to pause and wait until Abba officially defects, as he will be the first to collect the membership card,” he said.
