Olohunwa has been taken into custody since Wednesday on suspicion of murder alongside an alleged notorious assassin, Adeola Williams, aka Ade Lawyer, who allegedly was hired by the former to kill Kunle Poly.

On the fateful day, a gun purportedly aimed at Kunle Poly hit and killed Late Piero, who was in the same car with him. The killing was said to have been perpetrated by a gang led by Ade Lawyer with Olohunwa accused of hiring them.

Their bubble burst following massive manhunt launched for Piero’s killers leading to the arrest of Ade Lawyer in Ondo State where he relocated to.

A police source said under interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime accusing Oluhunwa of sponsoring the dastardly act. He reportedly told the interrogators that the ex-NURTW leader agreed with the gang to pay N1.5m to them to kill Kunle Poly and gave them N500,000 upfront but after the criminal group missed their target he refused to pay the balance.

Ade Lawyer was quoted as saying that members of his gang traced one of Oluhunwa’s drivers and confiscated his black Hyundai jeep.

The source revealed that Ade Lawyer is linked to several murders in the state including that of Hamburger, a union chairman in Oshodi Lagos, Baba Jide Dosumu aka Mados in Ebute Meta Lagos, Salawe in Ajah Lagos, Ganiyu Asaro and four others in Badore area of Lagos.
