Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has revealed his plan to buy English Premiership side, Arsenal FC after he must have made money from his investment in oil refinery.
Aliko Dangote last year signed a multi-billion dollar deal with banks to finance the building of an oil refinery in Nigeria. On completion, the refinery would be the largest in Africa, turning Nigeria into a petroleum exporting country.
On Tuesday in an interview Aliko Dangote granted BBC Hausa Service, he said he would be in good financial position to buy the club he supports after the oil refinery comes into operation despite being rebuffed by the club owners in 2010.
“When we get this refinery on track, I will have enough time and enough resources to pay what they are asking for,” Aliko Dangote told BBC Hausa.
