Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, said  the varied positions the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu  took on Amotekun, the security outfit set up by the region, indicated the he was in awe of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Tinubu weighed in on the matter after being prodded via a statement on Wednesday where he stood astride approbating the initiative and in the same breath reprobating the approach of its supporters.

The former Lagos governor’s statement has however, drawn him censure from the Reuben Fasoranti led-Afenifere.

The group’s Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin, in an interview with Punchng.com said Tinubu took the position for fear of retribution by Buhari.

Odumakin told the paper: “Maybe, he (Tinubu) should have kept quiet. This is not the time to speak in a forked tongue. What is the reason? You are afraid of Buhari?”
