The purported killings of four members of staff of United States’ Embassy in Anambra State, has drawn the reaction of the country’s seat of power.
Unknown gunmen on Tuesday in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the State attacked the convoy of the American Embassy in the day-time leading to four casualties.
The White House contrary to earlier report said no American or the Embassy staff died in the attack.
The reaction was during a press briefing by John Kirby, a White House spokesperson.
“What I can tell you is that no U.S. citizens were involved, but we are aware of some casualties, perhaps even some killed, but I don’t want to get too far ahead of where we are right now,” Kirby said.
