A policeman, Anthony Kachukwu, has been taken into custody following the death of his girlfriend, Justiana Omofuma, in Exclusive Mansion Hotel at Surulere area of Lagos State.
Kachukwu, a police sergeant and Omofuma were alone in the hotel room when her death occurred, according to Punchng.com.
The lovers were in the hotel to pass the night and along the line Omofuma slumped as at the time he went into the toilet only to return and met her stone dead, the publication wrote.
It added that the deceased’s family are not suspecting foul play having known the lovers together, and were against autopsy. At their instance, her body has been released by the police to them for burial.
However, the police have held on to Kachukwu on disciplinary matter ground.
