A Police officer attached to the Aba Area Command Anti-Robbery Squad, identified as Anyanime Udobat, has been killed by kidnappers.

Udobat’s killing occurred at Aro Ngwa Community in Osisioma Local Government Area of the State in the line of duty.

The deceased, who was in the anti-kidnapping unit of the Aba Area Command, was killed in the ensuing exchange of gunfire during an operation to arrest some kidnappers with a member of the criminal gang also a casualty.

The late gallant officer is survived by a wife and four children, and recently dedicated his last child.
