Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has described the visit of his Ekiti State counterpart, Ayodele Fayose, to Osogbo on Tuesday for a meeting with him as ‘historic’.
The two governors whose parties, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and the ruling party, All Progressive Congress(APC) are locked in a political battle enjoyed a private tete-a-tete at Osun State Government House at Abere.
And in three separate tweets Gov. Aregbesola commended Gov. Fayose for the visit and promised to work with the august visitor.
The tweets: “I am honored to play host to my friend and brother, the executive governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose”.
“@GovAyoFayose I celebrate you for the maturity and clear headedness that your visit to Osun today represents”.
“The visit of @GovAyoFayose to Osun today shows that though we differ politically, the Yoruba race remains united”
“I gave @GovAyoFayose my word that I will continue to work with him and other Yoruba leaders to better the life of the average Yoruba man”.
