Gunmen that passed themselves off as soldiers on Thursday in Benue attacked a vehicle belonging to Independent Electoral Commission while conveying non-sensitive election materials.
The State INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, in an interview with newsmen said the vile incident happened at Logo area of the state.
The attackers were decked in military uniforms and bearing guns.
“This is true. Recently, our vehicle which was conveying non sensitive materials was attacked along Logo area by people in military uniform,” Yilwatda said.
