Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, better knows as Joeboy, his stage name, has lost N3m in sports betting.
The singer favoured Real Madrid to beat Arsenal in Tuesday’s quarter final of the Uefa Champions League held at Emirates stadium, and staked N3m.
Hours before the game, the 27-year-old shared his betting slip on social media accompanied by the post: “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”
But his hope of winning N10m was dashed following the match’s outcome as Arsenal won 3-0 to the delight of the gunners.
The result excited a post from Adekunle Gold as he reposted Joeboy’s tweet with a joke, “Lmao. You don go blow stream money. Next time face your club.”
