Senator Shehu Sani has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to appease the National Leader of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, saying the former Lagos State Governor has the capacity to thwart his re-election.

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District gave this advice against the backdrop of assertions made by politicians including Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-rufai and his Ogun State counterpart, Ibikunle Amosun that Buhari would gun for second term in 2019.
In his contribution to Buhari’s re-election, Sani made a veiled reference to the President and Tinubu in a post on his Facebook page in which he hinted that the relationship between the duo was frosty.
He wrote, “The Lion Monarch should reach out to the aggrieved but silent Lagoon Lion so that he doesn’t explode like the hippo. The Lagoon Lion controls waters that can drown.”
The Senator’s post has generated reactions from his friends on the social media.
One of them , Abdulsamad Chima Amadi wrote: “If the Lion Monarch allows the silent Lagoon Lion to explode, the rumble of the Mambila Hippo will be a child’s play.”
Another user, Obinna Chukwuezie posted, “Distinguished Senator, you always use animals in your illustration. Are we in zoo?”
