Former President Muhammadu Buhari has received knocks from several netizens in consequence of his asset declaration, with one of his attackers, saying he earned Jesus’ wrath on that account.
Buhari’s former media aide, Garba Shehu, took to twitter to share part of the asset forms the ex-president submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau upon the expiration of his eight years in the country’s saddle.
Reporting what the forms contained, Shehu said, Buhari acquired no form of property within and outside Nigeria, only possessed a bank account with the Union Bank, while his livestock suffered reduction as a result of his kindness.
Shehu’s tweet, accompanied by a part of the forms read, “Former President Muhammadu Buhari has submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, in line with Chapter 6 of the constitution. The CCB today issued an acknowledgement receipt.
“The completed declaration shows that his movable assets did not increase, at home in Nigeria or outside and did not add new bank accounts outside the only one he had in Union Bank, Kaduna. He has taken no loans and has no liability.
“The number of animals in his farm recorded a little decrease due to the number he gave out as gifts in the last four years.”
It however met with open reprobation in some quarters among the netizens, with a tweep, @gaiuschibueze rejoining thus, “Such a terrible entrepreneur even Christ will be mad he made nothing of 8 years lol.”
Another, @harryofido retorted, “Everybody who got involved in producing this sham is on colos.”
