Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar has resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku’s resignation was revealed by his aide, Mr. Paul Ibe in a tweet on the latter’s twitter handle, @omonlakiki.
The tweet reads, “H.E. @atiku has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.”
Atiku was elected Vice-President from 1999 to 2007, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, with Olusegun Obasanjo as President.
He contested against the president, Muhammed Buhari alongside three others for the ticket of the APC in 2014.
