The Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Sekibo has hinted that the attempt made on his life on Thursday was allegedly Governor Neysom Wike’s doing.
Sekibo escaped death on Thursday night – thanks to his Land Cruiser bulletproof jeep which spared him from death.
According to the PDP chieftain, he had visited Rainbow Town in Port Harcourt to inspect the venue of the upcoming PDP presidential rally in the state when the assailants allegedly in police uniform and in vehicles attached to Gov. Neysom Wike struck.
He accused his attackers of setting the canopies and everything at the venue ablaze and opened fire on his Jeep which was his saving grace.
His word, “As we approached the site, those policemen who were watching the inferno opened fire on our vehicle. I looked at the Hilux vehicles, they were police Hilux vehicles attached to the Governor of Rivers State.”
