A court in United States has dismissed a lawsuit filed by presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, requesting President Bola Tinubu’s academic records from the Chicago State University.

Tinubu’s claim to have Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with honours from Chicago State University has been contradicted in some quarters, on account of which Atiku filed a suit, seeking to subpoena Chicago university.

As the matter now stands, report said the former Vice-President has withdrawn the case before the hearing date, with the Judge, Patrick J. Heneghan also said to have dismissed it without prejudice.

In the judgment, the judge held that the “petitioner’s subpoena in this case is withdrawn and thus Chicago State University will not be deposed pursuant to the subpoena in this case.”

Ruling on the matter which had Atiku as the petitioner and CSU as the respondent, Justice Heneghan said the case was dismissed without prejudice and resolves all matters pending before the court.
