The demolition, which was carried out in the early hours of Sunday, sparked furious backlash with many ripping apart the government. It later emerged that the matter was about being resolved after picture of the singer appearing to be pleading to Gov. Abiola Ajimobi in the latter’s office surfaced.

But in a new twist to the saga, Ayefele has hinted that Ajimobi did not keep his own side of the bargain in the meeting in an interview with Punch.

“When the governor came into the office, we all prostrated to greet him being that he is older than us and we told them that we did not want cameras. We wanted a closed-door meeting with the governor so he asked the pressmen to excuse us but his private photographer did not leave the room.

“We noticed that while we were talking with the governor, the photographer was taking our pictures and uploading them on their twitter handle immediately,” the singer publicist, David Ajiboye, told the paper.
