Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed his resolve to appoint a high numbers of illiterates as board members in the state agencies.

Ayodele Fayose made this known in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday while administering oaths on 10 new commissioners in the state.

The governor who owed his electoral victory to the ordinary people in the state, said he has resolved to appoint a substantial numbers of them as board members in the state agencies, adding that anyone who distasted the plan should wait for his or her time as the state governor.

“The illiterates will get 25 percent because it is from them we get the votes. Though they may not have the certificates, but there is nothing wrong with us keeping them in one board for them to have recognition.

“If no leader rises up to promote these children of the poor, who will promote them? I am here for children of the poor, if you don’t like it, wait for your time.

“In the face of so many challenges and perversion, you stood your ground. I salute Ekiti people for staying by the government they chose,” Ayodele Fayose said.
