Multiple reports coming out of Ekiti State, said former House of Representatives member, Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, and two others were today hit by bullets of shots fired by a yet-to-be identified Mobile Policeman (MOPOL) at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat during a reception for at the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi ahead of the July 14 governorship election in the state.
The reports claimed the incident ensued at around 5.00pm at about the time, Fayemi arrived the venue to a tumultuous welcome in tow with his wife, Bisi, and his running mate, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi.
