Musician, Wasiu Ayinde, also known as K1 De Ultimate, said late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister is to the Fuji genre of music what Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed are to Christianity and Islam respectively.

K1 stated this while speaking at the maiden edition of ‘Fuji: A Opera’, a multi-dimensional entertainment platform deconstructing the fuji genre from its enigmatic past & re-imagining it for a new generation of music in Lagos.
The singer, a protégé of Barrister, said his deceased master transformed the Fuji music and redefined it, adding he (Barrister) created the music genre and likened him to Christ and Muhammed.
“God used Barrister to make a turnaround for fuji music to the standard we are seeing now. I stand here to affirm that he is truly the creator of it. Barrister is our own Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed because he was responsible for the turnaround of fuji music. I am a direct beneficiary because I started with him. He graciously accepted me and gave me the tutelage I needed. I served him very well and learnt the rudiments of that genre of music from him,” he said.
