The Benue state government said it is in process of floating electricity company.

The proposed power company, according to the Managing Director of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Raymond Asemakaha when it comes into being would impact positively on the state’s development.

Asekomhe made the plan known at a meeting with a delegation of Remedy Earth, an electricity company, at BIPC corporate headquarters in Makurdi.

He requested Remedy Earth operators to set up a pilot plant in the state, to which the delegation led by its regional head, Africa, Peace Obichere, assured him of the company’s readiness to execute the pilot plant for BIPC within nine months.
