Mr. Stephen Onwuamadike, father of Mr. Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, said the billionaire kidnapper turned out bad due to his(Evans) mother, Chinwe’s influence on him.
Mr. Onwuamadike who is into pig farming stated this at his country home at Akammili, Umudim, Nnewi, Anambra State where he said he last saw the kingpin of armed robbery and kidnapping gangs ten years ago.

The troubled father pleaded to government to temper justice with mercy and forgive his son.
He revealed that Evans dropped out of school while he was in JSS 2, adding that the kidnapper’s mother who is his ex-wife was manipulating him(Evans) spiritually.
“I sent him to school but his mother kept interfering in his academics. He visited me in 2008 and when i asked him the business he was into, he told me he was into drug. I advised him against it and since then i have not set my eyes on him,” Mr. Onwuamadike said.
He attributed his financial problem to Evans’ mother saying she wrecked his business.
His word, “I used to be a big time businessman and was dealing with white men. I was one of the early millionaires in this town but Chinwe caused my problem and wrecked my business. Now i struggle to put food on the table.”
