The accused(in the middle in above picture), a primary school teacher, and a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was charged with hate speech and incitement to violence on social media.

The 37-year-old was dragged to court by the party chairman in Kwara Central Senatorial District, Ilorin, Alhaji Jimoh Adesina.

Adesina in the suit he filed alleged that since July, 2017, Baba has been inciting the public against Senator Bukola Saraki through his Facebook page saying the act was capable of causing breach of the peace in the state.

The complainant in the suit claimed Baba in his posts was spewing falsehood and outright falsification against the Senate President.

But the criminal complaint filed against the accused was withdrawn on Thursday as several lawyers bombarded the court in support of the accused during his arraignment.
