The national grid on Monday collapsed again robbing many Nigerians of electricity.

The unwelcome development happened at around 3 pm resulting in power plants losing generations.

Consequent upon this, electricity went off leaving many Nigerians without light as of the time of this publication.

Earlier on Monday power generation had peaked at about 4,800 megawatts before crashing to 139MW as of 3 pm, according to data making the rounds

The grid collapse it was gathered, occurred at a time when the Nigerian Independent System Operator was making efforts to ramp up generation following recent gas constraints caused by pipeline vandalism.

As of the time of filing this report, all 22 power plants connected to the grid had lost generation.
