Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has denied claim attributed to him that he bribed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officers with N15m.
An audio circulating on social media courtesy VeryDarkMan is said to be the voice of Bobrisky.
In the attribution, the crossdresser said he gave N15m to unnamed EFCC officers to drop money laundering charges against him, and was never in prison over his conviction for naira note abuse.
The anti-graft agency in turn stated that it has commenced investigation into the claims with the VeryDarkMan and the crossdresser invited.
However, the latter has denied both reports, saying he gave no money to the EFCC and was in prison for his sentence.
He said this via Instagram where she wrote: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”
