Rapper and actor Falz, said that he’s considering not giving helping hands to people in need of his assistance due to the opprobrium he and his father, Femi Falana, SAN, were subjected to, arising from the scandal that trailed Bobrisky’s sentence for naira abuse.
Faz and his father had received public reproach after activist VDM leaked alleged audio of Bobrisky’s phone conversation in which the crossdresser allegedly said he was approached by the singer in the course of his money laundering case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
More to the point, Bobrisky had said in the leaked audio that Faz told him that his father would help him secured presidential pardon in exchange for ₦10m.
The report which sparked public outage excited the Falanas’ denial as they also took VDM to court where the matter is still pending.
Falz in an interview on Arise TV said he has no relationship with Bobrisky and the scandalous incident is making him to rethink his kindness.
“I never had any relationship with Bobrisky prior to that phone call. He messaged me on Instagram and said, ‘I’m in this case and I want to speak to you about how you can help.’ And you know, thousands of people messaged me about similar stuff like that. This is not a special case; it’s not exceptional in any way.
“In a lot of those cases, I will give them an audience, like what is the P, how can I help? Compassionately. Little did I know. Anyways, as they say, once bitten, twice shy. At the end of the day, I’m not going to, maybe I’m not going to help anyone again in my life, but maybe I will be much more conscious,” the This is Nigeria crooner said.
