Allegation that some unnamed staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, recieved N15m bribe from Idris Okuneye(a.ka.a Bobrisky) has come under investigation.
Bobrisky is allegedly heard in a viral audio, which he has denied, to have said that he paid N15m in bribery to some EFCC officers to get the money laundering charges levelled against him dropped by the anti-graft agency.
In the audio posted on social media by VeryDarkMan, the crossdresser allegedly said he didn’t spend time in prison over his conviction for naira note abuse.
The purported claims have drawn the attention of EFCC authorities, with the Chairman, Ola Olukoyede ordering investigation into it.
The order is contained in a statement EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale released
“To this end, the Commission hereby invites both Okuneye and Otse (VeryDarkMan) to make themselves available at its Lagos Directorate to assist investigators unearth the alleged bribery,” it read in part.
