Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has reacted to threat made by suspended Senator Abdul Ningi.
The latter is facing three months suspension handed down by his Senator colleagues for blowing the whistle on alleged padding of the 2024 budget by the leadership of the Red Chamber.
Subsequent to his suspension, the Bauchi Central Senator through his lawyer, Femi Falana(SAN), wrote the Senate in a pre-action letter demanding his recall within seven days or he would resort to the law court.
Speaking to newsmen on arrival from the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland, Akpabio said of the matter, “It is a parliamentary decision. I have not seen the letter yet. But Senator Ningi is one of us. I mean what is suspension?
“I believe that in a few days, he will join us. So, there is no problem. It would be resolved amicably. The Senate is a family.”
