President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institution not to run the rule over farmers when they are approached for loans.

Buhari gave the directive when he received in audience on Tuesday members of the United Kingdom-based Foundation for Good Governance for Development in Nigeria at the State House, Abuja.

The President noted with concern the threat smuggling posed to local productions and businesses saying his government would not stop at nothing in the war against the menace and ensure the survival of home-grown industries in a fiercely competitive world’s economy.

“I understand our problems. I am acutely aware of my duty to my God and country. I will continue to do my best,” he told the support group.
