The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, is causing Vice-President President Yemi Osinbajo trouble in the presidency, a report by Punch has claimed.

The report says Kyari is a member of a cabal that has the ears of Buhari adding that other members include; the President’s nephew, Mamman Daura, the father to the Minister of the FCT, Musa Bello, and Samaila Isa Funtua.
It said the cabal usually worked against the interest of Osinbajo saying while the President was away on medical vacation they were relegated to the background in the presidency but with his return they have bounced back, and have taken control of power.
The report says the cabal have a way of making the President to do their bidding, and make him sees issues from their point of view after extracting Osinbajo’s position from him.
“While Buhari was away, they tried to ensure that Osinbajo was not in control of the government, by keeping away information from Osinbajo. Kyari’s main job in the villa is to make Osinbajo look bad,” the paper quoted a source as saying.
It said the Vice-President is not helping his case due to alleged leanings towards Christians.
“Osinbajo is a victim of his blunders because his advisers are tribal. It is a church cabal. He doesn’t have balanced opinions coming from all parts of the country. So, he ends up making some terrible blunders and they (Buhari’s cabal) find it easy to checkmate him,” the newspaper quoted a chieftain of the Arewa Consultative Forum, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, as saying.
