Buhari’s Health: Jigawa State Declares Public Holiday for Prayers

The Jigawa State Government on Thursday declared Friday July 7, as a public holiday to enable the state’s civil servants to offer special prayer for President Muhammadu Buhari’s quick recovery.

The holiday was contained in a statement Isma’il Ibrahim, the PRO, Office of Jigawa State Head of Civil Service (HoS), released in Dutse, the state capital.

Ibrahim said the decision to declare the holiday was taken at the State Executive Council meeting on July 5, adding that the work-free day was to enable all the state’s residents to attend a special prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari’s well being.

The statement reads in part, “During this day, it is expected that all public servants and the entire people of the state will pray to Almighty Allah to grant our president quick recovery. It is also expected that they will also pray to Almighty Allah to grant Jannatul Firdausi to late Danmasanin Kano, Yusuf Maitama Sule.”

Recall that President Buhari has been on medical vacation in London since two months ago. Earlier, he was in London for the same reason for sometime in January.
