The Special Adviser on Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adeshina is bereaved after losing his elder sister, Prof. Foluke Ogunleye in an auto accident.
The death of Prof. Ogunleye, an academic, who at one time was a producer in Nigerian Television Authority, Minna, Niger State, and at another time, Head, Department of Dramatic Art, Obafemi Awolowo University occurred on December, 26 at the Ibadan end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Her car was involved in a crash with a truck and it was said that she died on the spot.
Born 53 years ago, Prof. Ogunleye until her death was teaching Drama and Media Arts at OAU. An Actress and Director, she formed her Theatre Company, Christian Multimedia International (formerly Christian Theatre Studio) in 1990. She is the author of over thirty plays for stage, screen and radio, among them; In Times Like These, Prelude to the Feast of Worms, and In His Steps.
