Ex-wife of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, Chanel Chin, has told of how the belligerent monarch denied the only child between them formal education.

Chin and Oba Akanbi’s marriage packed up last year’s December after four years of union.
The slim-built Canadian in an interview with Punchng.com accused the controversial monarch of withdrawing their son from school after two days on the grounds that the baby boy would be target of kidnappers.
“My son is three years old and has never been to school. He went to the primary school at Bowen University, Iwo for only two days. That was in May 2019. He withdrew him from the school and said he was popular and famous, and that they would kidnap him. He said, ‘You don’t know Africa, kidnapping is a big business. Do you have N20m to pay as ransom? I will tell them I don’t know you!’ My son has never gone to school. I have been the one teaching my son,” the ex-queen told the paper.
