Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu was on Thursday at the receiving end of men of the Nigerian Army’s brutality at Onitsha market in Anambra State.
The soldiers beat up Agu and arrested him for wearing Biafra regalia with the video of the moment captured by enthusiasts posted online where it is racking up thousands of views.
The arrest of the of the 65-year-old thespian is coming on heels of the launch of a military exercise against the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) tagged: Exercise Golden Dawn in the Southeast.
Anambra Police spokesperson Ikenga Tochukwu has confirmed Agu’s arrest.
