The Head Coach of kickboxing in Ogun State, Funke Ogunsuyi, was on Saturday found dead in a hotel room in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Ogunsuyi led an Ogun contingent of kickboxers, two in number to an invitational tournament in Ilorin and also officiated in the event.
The Ijebu-born coach’s absence at the Rashid Yekini Stadium, venue of the tournament at 12.00pm for the final ceremony and inability to reach her through phone, prompted a search-party to visit her hotel room who upon breaking into it were confronted by her lifeless body.
Report said she was confirmed dead at General Hospital where she was rushed to while the tournament’s grand finale was rescheduled for Sunday in honour of the deceased.
