A commercial bus driver has set an officer of the Edo State Traffic Management Agency ablaze.
The incident occurred along Sapele Road in Benin, the state capital on Friday at Adesua junction.
The moment was captured on video by enthusiast(s) and posted online where it has attracted several views.
Report said the root cause is that the unidentified driver was arrested for allegedly violating traffic law and this got him angry.
“So in the ensuing altercation, he undressed himself, fetched a petrol in his car, emptied it on an officer who was leading him to the traffic office and set the man ablaze,” eyewitness said.
The erring traffic offender, it was further gathered is on the run while his victim is in the hospital.
