The committee set up by the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, to investigate the leaked audio of Professor Richard Akindele in which he is heard demanding sex from a female student in return for mark, has recommended indefinite suspension of the lecturer.

Quoting anonymous member of the committee, Punch said while Prof. Akindele had appeared before the panel, the female student was yet to do so.
The paper reported that the dense of fog over the identity of the student in question has subsided. She was said to be a postgraduate student pursuing second degree in Business Administration.
“We invited him and the female student. We identified the student and invited her, but she did not appear; only the professor honoured our invitation. I don’t want to tell you what he said on the telephone,” the publication quoted the source as saying.
