Tragedy struck Onyobru community in Ethiope West local government area of Delta state after a youth corps member who hailed from the oil rich area slumped to death during church service.
The deceased, Akevwighome Okpako Excellent(pictured) recently graduated from Delta State University, Abraka where he read management science and was serving the nation as a youth corps member in Anambra State.
Akevwighome had returned to his home town from Anambra to celebrate Christmas and the new year and was involved in the former’s celebration but died on the latter’s eve.
His sudden death that thrown all who knew him into deep grief occurred while he was leading a choir ministration in his church, Christ Gospel Church in Edjeketa during night vigil.
Born 29 years ago and had Ordinary National Diploma(OND) from Delta State Polytechnic Otefe apart from first degree, it was said that when Akevwighome slumped midway into the service, the impression eyewitnesses had were that he was under the influence of holy ghost spirit.
