Wives of Chairman, Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa, have been abducted.
Gunmen kidnapped the two women at the family residence after Isha’i prayer on Friday night.
According to the Chairman himself in an interview with BBC Hausa Service, the gunmen scared those around the premises away by gunshots before going for their target.
“They fired twice at my door before entering.
“From there, they took my two wives, they are still holding them hostage,” he told the medium.
