A couple have died in an auto accident that happened while the pregnant wife was being rushed to hospital.
The incident happened in Niger State on Saturday when the deceased couple, Mallam Nda Alhassan and his pregnat wife, who was in labour was being taken from Katcha to General Hospital in Agaie.
The other three occupants in the ill-fated vehicle that rammed into a stationary vehicle, among them a driver, and Mallam Alhassan’s wife’s brother, are said to suffer various injuries in the accident and currently hospitalised.
According to reports, due to unavailability of hospital in Katcha, the residents usually resort to travelling down to Agaie where a government hospital is located.
The deceased couple, it was further gathered died on the spot of the accident, and were buried on the fateful day, according to Islamic injunctions.
