Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje’s Daughter, Asiya’s application for the dissolution of her 16-year-old marriage has been granted.
Asiya took her husband, Inuwa Uba to court seeking an end to their union, with dispute over ownership of some properties marking the case.
The mother-of-four eventually got her wish on Thursday as an Upper Shariah Court sitting in Kano dissolved the troubled marriage.
The Presiding Judge, Khadi Halliru Aliyu while delivering his judgment ordered Ganduje’s daughter to return the N50,000 dowry to her Uba as cost of damage.
The court also struck out Asiya’s husband demand for document of properties which he claimed belongs to him.
It remains to be seen if he would appeal the judgment.
