Dangote Petroleum Refinery is gearing up to import a cargo of Brazilian crude.

The news is courtesy of Bloomberg.

Recall that the refinery has been importing crude oil from United States with the operators accusing International Oil Companies in Nigeria of denying them of the products.

Subsequently, IOC pledged to turn a new leaf by supplying the refinery and its local counterparts.

However, going by Bloomberg account, Dangote is also looking towards Brazil to feed its plant that has the capacity to refine 650, 000 barrels of crude oil a day.

It said, the information was obtained from those privy to the matter, who made it known that Dangote refinery would receive a shipment of one million barrels of Tupi crude from Brazil for delivery in the second half of next month.

“The refinery, billed as pivotal in ending Nigeria’s dependence on foreign fuel, has already snapped up millions of barrels of American crude,” the report by the media organisation stated.
